The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you are looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do, to map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is in place you can begin the automatic cleaning with a single button click. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough maps of your home to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system, which prevents microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. We think this is a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's an affordable cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and then move away when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something needs attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first pass. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.
